Every Wednesday morning Mini and I go to a music class. Today, Mister joined us. I joked with him on the way over that he wouldn’t be the only dad; there are at least two who go every week. This week one of those dads didn’t make it to class. He was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on Key Biscayne this morning. It was a hit and run.

I can’t fathom the last sentence I wrote.

I wonder, by default, if the driver was looking at his or her phone. It only takes one second to swerve.

He is undergoing brain surgery.

He has two young children.

If you’re a praying type, please send up a quick one.

His name is Aaron.
